| The Invicta Mustangs is intended to be a bridge between playing ice hockey at a junior level and playing at the senior level of the Invicta Dynamos. The core of the squad consists of players between the ages of 16 and 21 who have come through the Invicta Junior system and the aim is to develop these players to a level of ability that will enable them to progress to either the Dynamos level or beyond. In order to help the coaches achieve this aim the Mustangs squad also has a small number of older, more experienced players who add strength to the team and who are able to use their experience for the further development of the younger players. Playing the 2008/09 season in the new ENIHL Division 2 is very much a step into the unknown for many of the younger players but everyone associated with the team is looking forward to the challenge |
