Former Club
Forward Liam Chong spent several of his junior years in Essex with Chelmsford before also having a spell with Romford. Having impressed with both sides he then took his game across the pond where he attended Northwood School in Lake Placid, New York. During his time in the United States the lively attacker continued to develop his game and in 2009/10 he was a key part of the school's midget hockey squad. His excellent displays have led to him becoming a strong British prospect and in January 2010 he was named in Great Britain's Under 18's team announced for the IIHF World Championships hosted by Poland. During the competition, held in April, Chong then featured in all five games for the team who took on Germany, Poland and Kazakhstan whilst overcoming both Hungary and Lithuania successfully preserving the side's place at the Championships. Now the talented forward will be hoping to play a major role as he brings his hockey to the Silver Blades Ice Rink Gillingham and dons a Dynamos' jersey when the new season gets underway in September.
