Position Forward
Date of Birth
Former Club
Forward Michael Timms rose through the ranks in Guildford and his early promise led to him being selected for the national side at under 18s level as he iced for Team Great Britain at the World Junior Championships in 2002. He remained with Guildford as a talented prospect until the start of the 2003/04 campaign when the Slough Jets offered him more ice time at senior level but the agile skater would once again find his way back to his first club by the end of the season – this time pulling on the Flames’ jersey more regularly as his team secured the EPL playoff title. The following year Timms then opted to switch Guildford for Chelmsford as the Chieftains secured his services for 2004/05 and he featured in all but one of the Essex side’s 32 league outings. The lively forward continued with the Chieftains until the 2007/08 campaign when he opted to join local rivals Romford shortly after the start of the season and he remained there for near three years before being tempted into a move to Gillingham by coach Kevin Parrish.
